eMatings.com is a limited liability corporation (eMatings LLC). 
Our stable of online international pedigree experts provides stallion selections for thoroughbred mares submitted by users of the site, typically mare owners, agents, or stud masters. We act as an “escrow agent” in the simple transaction between user and expert (see Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy) and charge a nominal fee for administration of the internet site. The user’s identity is not revealed to the expert during the transaction, and payment is made by credit card or Paypal from a secure server on eMatings.com.
In this manner, users from all levels of the breeding industry can confidently request matings advice (reports) and have access to leading authorities in the field of pedigree analysis in one convenient site, at a standard fee of US$150 per expert for each report. Because each expert has agreed to provide stallion selection analysis on eMatings.com for a deeply discounted fee from what he would charge clients outside of eMatings.com, we require ONLY that each expert provides in rank order the five names of the stallions selected for each mare. Each expert, however, is free to provide as much or as little information as he desires beyond the names of the five ranked stallions.
The expert is not paid until the stallion selections are made available to the user, and we strongly advise experts to deliver stallion selections within 48 hours of the initial request by the user.
The names of the pedigree experts on eMatings.com are synonymous with experience, accuracy, integrity and trust, and we are highly selective in choosing experts.
Users are welcome to pursue relationships with experts outside of eMatings.com, where experts can elaborate on analysis and detail at fees they charge. (Any contact and agreement between a user and expert outside eMatings.com is not subject to the Terms and Conditions of eMatings.com).
eMatings.com was founded in 2008 by Sid Fernando, a respected bloodstock expert and writer who is familiar with the work of the experts listed on the website.
eMatings.com is the solution to a problem that was posed to Mr. Fernando by owners and breeders over the last decade: Where to get matings advice from reputable sources on the internet for a reasonable fee, and conveniently? eMatings.com has outsourced the management of certain administrative, advertising, and stallion subscription functions to Werk Thoroughbred Consultants, Inc. (WTC). Founded by Jack Werk, WTC and its family of products (including eNicks) are at the forefront of the pedigree research business.
Mr. Fernando is a former bloodstock editor and columnist for Daily Racing Form. He has written about racehorses and bloodlines for international publications, and advised clients around the world on bloodstock matters. He resides in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife and two sons, and is an accomplished youth travel baseball manager in his spare time. In 2007, his 10U Brooklyn Bulldogs won a national championship in Myrtle Beach, SC.
